New Think Visegrad Fellow of CEID: Olga Zelinska

CEID welcomes Olga Zelinska, who will be our Think Visegrad Fellow in 2016.

Think Visegrad – V4 Think Tank Platform is a net­work for struc­tured dia­log on issues of strate­gic regional impor­tance. The net­work ana­lyzes key issues for the Visegrad Group (V4), and pro­vides rec­om­men­da­tions to the gov­ern­ments of V4 coun­tries, the annual pres­i­den­cies of the group, and the International Visegrad Fund. Think Visegrad cov­ers the­matic pri­or­i­ties of V4 includ­ing energy secu­rity, V4’s inter­nal cohe­sion, EU insti­tu­tions and pol­i­tics, the Western Balkans, rela­tions with Eastern Partnership coun­tries, devel­op­ment assis­tance, hard secu­rity, envi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion, Roma-related issues, migra­tion, trans­port, etc.

Think Visegrad also pro­vides vis­it­ing fel­low­ships to non-Visegrad expert fel­lows. Every year one vis­it­ing fel­low­ships provided through each of the core net­work think tanks.

Olga is a PhD student in Sociology at the Graduate School for Social Research, Institute for Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. Her research interests cover social movements in Central and Eastern Europe, political protest and political sociology. She holds an MA in Public Policy from Central European University, Budapest. She was actively engaged in policy analysis and was affiliated with Ukrainian and European think-tanks, including Open Society Foundation (Ukraine), The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (The Netherlands), the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation (Ukraine) and the Institute of World Policy (Ukraine).
