Latest features of CEID fellows in the news

President Dániel Bartha commented on the bilateral relations of Slovakia and Hungary, and the issues around Slovakia’s 30th anniversary celebration. Find the comments in Telex’s article and in Népszava in Hungarian.

Mr Bartha also gave an interview for the German Welt newspaper on the recent decision on EU funds for Hungary. He highlighted that “The most obvious is that Viktor Orbán used the blocking of Sweden and Finland from joining NATO as a political weapon in the dispute over EU funds”. Edit Inotai, Senior Fellow at CEID wrote a piece on what 2023 could hold for Hungary and on the possible upcoming challenges of the Orbán government in Balkan Insight. She envisages 2023 as one of the most difficult year yet for Hungary’s national-populist government, while there is only a slim chance the opposition will be able to capitalise on this.Her opinion was also featured on Klubrádió.
